Vintage Ward Leonard 300w Vertical Mechanical Dimmer

Description

This is a mechanical 300 watt 115v single dimmer made by Ward Leonard.  Probably made in the 1930's.  Often used at the time as a followspot local controller.  This was working when removed from service.  We make no guarantees that it is now.  This weighs about 14 lbs.
It has two hand made brackets that were added.  These could easily be removed.  It appears that it was meant to hang vertically on an 1-1/4" bracket.  See the back photos with the securing side bolts.
The action on the fader is stiff.  It does move but the whole piece really must be carefully cleaned and lubed.  We have not cleaned any of it knowing that whomever ends up with this piece will want to do it their way.  The white thing on the fader is a piece of tape that will come right off.
