Vintage 1952 Bronson "Singing Electric" (Valco / National) Lap Steel w/ Case

Description

Up for sale, a Bronson labeled "Singing Electric" lap steel (manufactured by National / Valco).  This dates to 1952 and appears to be a fairly clean original piece.  There is one area near the pick-up jack which has lost its finish (looks like it was rubbing against something in the case).  The gold hardware shows some typical wear and oxidation.  Overall cosmetics look pretty decent.
This requires a unique cable and unfortunately the one that came with this is in very poor condition.  I couldn't get anything out of the pickups so I pulled the cable apart (where it already showed a repair).  I put the bare wires to the jack on the steel and it works fine.  You'll want a replacement to have a headache free life.  Switches do not have excessive noise and the pick-up sounds clean and clear.
