Very fine gem quality pinkish orange malaia (Malaya) garnet from Lindi Tanzania.  Exquisitely cut by Troy Richardson.  Gem measures 7.57x6.38x5.57 in a fancy octagon shape (Marco Voltolini's Lippy design), and is eyeclean with numerous needle inclusions under 10x magnification.  Medium-light tone with strong saturation, often called Imperial malaia in the trade.
